Cica balm is actually a moisturizer-like product that contains Centella Asiatica and its more concentrated compounds—asiatic acid, madecassic acid, madecassoside and asiaticoside. Centella Asiatica (AKA Gotu Kola or Tiger grass) has been used for thousands of years as a medicinal herb that helps to soothe and repair the skin. Numerous studies have shown that when applied topically, Centella and its compounds help to increase the healing of burns and wounds by reducing redness and inflammation as well as increasing collagen production.

With 2% Madecassoside and 55% Centella Asiatica leaf water, the Apieu Madecassoside Cica Balm strengthens the skin barrier and repairs dry skin by forming a protective film on top of the skin. The ointment balm texture spreads softly on the skin and stays put on various areas that need extra hydration. Can be used as an eye cream to reduce wrinkles; on nail cuticles, elbows and heels for hydration; as a lip balm; and on hair to smooth split ends.

Directions

Apply an appropriate amount to troubled areas and gently dab for absorption.
